Saint Soldier Elite Convent School opened on 1 April 2003 under the St. Soldier School Society, with 216 children on the roll. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and takes students from Playpen through Class XII.
The campus spreads over five acres and is Wi-Fi enabled end to end — smart classrooms, separate physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and computer laboratories, a library, an air-conditioned auditorium, a gym, a botanical garden and grounds for kabaddi, football and kho-kho.
It is a rural school equipped to an urban standard, and the measure of it is what its students do afterwards: doctors, engineers, police and army officers, judges — and the captain of the Indian hockey team.

When this school opened on 1 April 2003 there were 216 children on the roll and one conviction behind them: that a child growing up in Jandiala Guru should not have to leave for a city to be taught as well as anyone in Punjab.
